The family splits into a few practical groups: receptacles that mount to a panel or housing, plug assemblies molded onto high-voltage silicone or Teflon leads, and mating kits sold with the lead already terminated. Voltage ratings commonly run from 5 kVDC up to 20 kVDC and beyond depending on the series, with polarized and non-polarized versions to control mating. What buyers actually check before placing an order is fairly consistent: the exact TE or legacy Burndy part number, the lead wire gauge and length, whether the assembly is molded or field-attachable, and the voltage and altitude rating, since corona performance drops at altitude. Here is the honest trade-off with this category. Many LGH part numbers are mature or discontinued at the factory, so authorized channel stock is thin and the open market fills the gap.
